Accreditation

General aspects

he Accreditation scheme was developed by the European Union to facilitate the free movement of goods and products within the EU territory, eliminating the need for repetitive controls by authorities in different countries.

A key component of this scheme is the Accreditation Body, which, being independent and representative of all interested parties, ensures users’ confidence in the competence and impartiality of accredited laboratories through periodic technical audits.

In Italy, this role is carried out by ACCREDIA, which operates in accordance with ISO/IEC 17011. ACCREDIA verifies and monitors laboratories’ compliance with UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 and ACCREDIA requirements (RT-08) through technical audits over time.

ACCREDIA’s membership in global and European accreditation networks ensures that its operations adhere to international standards and that its procedures are aligned with those of other accreditation bodies. It promotes the exchange of best practices and offers opportunities for benchmarking and continuous improvement. Specifically, ACCREDIA is a member of ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) i.e., the worldwide association of Accreditation Bodies of Inspection Bodies and Testing and Calibration Laboratories.

ACCREDIA accreditation assures users of technical competence and the impartiality and reliability of analytical data.

CROP PROTECTION TECHNOLOGY Laboratory has been accredited by ACCREDIA for certain tests since 2010 (accreditation N° 1146 L), in accordance with UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025. For this purpose the laboratory has signed an agreement with ACCREDIA which can be consulted at the Laboratory upon written request.

ACCREDIA accreditation of the test does not imply approval of the product tested by the Laboratory or the accreditation body. Neither the Laboratory nor ACCREDIA are responsible for the test results or interpretations derived from them.

They do not assume responsibility for any damages caused to the client or third parties due to the use of test results, nor for delays in delivering test results or interpretations.

Opinions and interpretations are not within the scope of ACCREDIA accreditation.

The Test Report issued by CPT Laboratory following the tests may not be reproduced in part without written permission from the Laboratory.

By scanning the QRCode, the laboratory's list of accredited tests can be accessed.

Quality policy

In general, the definition and implementation of the Quality System aims to:

  1. Ensure the impartiality and confidentiality of laboratory activities.
  2. Adapt activities to comply with legislative requirements and the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standard.
  3. Comply with the requirements of the ACCREDIA Accreditation Body.
  4. Improve the service rendered to the customer.

In light of these objectives, the management of the CROP PROTECTION TECHNOLOGY Laboratory has decided to prepare and implement a Quality System based on national and international standards for laboratory management and operation.

The Laboratory Management is committed to complying with UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018, ensuring impartiality and confidentiality, and continuously improving the effectiveness of the management system.

The CROP PROTECTION TECHNOLOGY Laboratory operates in a context that demands absolute traceability of generated data due to its relation to legal and regulatory aspects.

Therefore, the Laboratory bases its approach to the Quality System on the following strategic elements:

  1. Clear and effective work documentation.
  2. Involvement of all dedicated resources for implementation and continuous improvement.
  3. Training at all levels to continuously improve knowledge related to laboratory activities.
  4. Targeted and continuous checks on the adequacy of resource skills, equipment upgrading, and proper use of work tools.
  5. Integration with product and service providers to extend quality methodologies upstream and downstream of laboratory activities, including monitoring customer satisfaction.

In summary, the Laboratory Management is committed to:

  1. Operating according to the principles of impartiality and confidentiality.
  2. Ensuring client and stakeholder satisfaction by providing technically sound results.
  3. Providing the financial and human resources necessary to implement the Quality Policy.
  4. Monitoring the planning and control of activities to achieve assigned goals.
  5. Providing resources for achieving and maintaining good professional practice and staff knowledge appropriate to technological and regulatory changes, aiming for continuous improvement in the quality level of output generated.
  6. Ensuring the integrity of the system is maintained when making and implementing changes.

These objectives undergo periodic review by Management, typically scheduled biannually, except for non-routine events or specific needs (indicatively after the ACCREDIA Audit and after Internal Audit).
