ENAMA/ENTAM Certification
Certification of the performance and environmental safety of pesticide application equipments and its components
The Crop Protection Technology Research Group, as the sole Italian research center, conducts the certification of pesticide application equipment and related components on behalf ENAMA Servizi S.r.l.
The certification process adheres to specific protocols developed based on current international standards, including: EN ISO 16119-1, 2, 3, 4 (field crop sprayers, sprayers for bush and tree crops, fixed and semi-mobile sprayers) EN ISO 19932 (knapsack sprayers), EN ISO 28139 (knapsack mistblowers), ISO 5682-1 (pressure nozzles), ISO 12809 (pumps), ISO 21278 (mixer), ISO 5682-3 (volume/area adjustment systems), ISO 21191 (closed transfer systems – CTS), etc.
Crop Protection Technology Research Group also conduct drift reduction class certification according to ISO 22401 (field crop sprayers) and UNI 11797 (sprayers for bush and tree crops).
For machines and components lacking reference standards (hydraulic agitators, filters, level gauges, dusters, wiper applicators, test benches for sprayers adjustment, etc.), s carried out following specific ENAMA Servizi protocols, applicable only in Italy.

ENAMA certification can be recognized at the European level within the ENTAM 2.0 circuit, which consists of accredited testing stations in European countries that have agreed to collaborate on shared activities. This ensures the quality and reliability of certified pesticide application equipment and components across Europe.
