Tests aimed at obtaining the ENAMA/ENTAM Certification

The Crop Protection Technology Research Group, the only one of its kind in Italy, conducts testing on behalf of  ENAMA Servizi S.r.l. to support the certification of sprayers and their components under the ENAMA standard. Some of these tests are accredited by Accredia in compliance with the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.”Enama services logo

This activity is carried out following specific protocols developed based on current International Standards: EN ISO 16119-1, 2, 3, 4 (field crop sprayers,  sprayers for bush and tree crops, fixed and semi-mobile sprayers) EN ISO 19932 (knapsack sprayers), EN ISO 28139 (knapsack mistblowers), ISO 5682-1 (pressure nozzles), ISO 12809  (pumps), ISO 21278 (mixer), ISO 5682-3 (volume/area adjustment systems), ISO 21191 (closed transfer systems – CTS), etc.

For components and equipment for which no reference standards exist (hydraulic agitators, filters, level gauges, dusters, wiper applicators, test benches for sprayers adjustment, etc.),testing is carried out exclusively following specific ENAMA Servizi protocols.

The Crop Protection Technology Research Group can also perform tests aimed at obtaining drift reduction class certification in accordance with ISO 22401 (boom sprayers) and UNI 11797 (air-assisted sprayers).

ENAMA certification can be recognized at the European level within the ENTAM 2.0 circuit, which consists of accredited testing stations in European countries that have agreed to collaborate on shared activities. This ensures the quality and reliability of certified pesticide application equipment and components across Europe.
