he Accreditation scheme was developed by the European Union to facilitate the free movement of goods and products within the EU territory, eliminating the need for repetitive controls by authorities in different countries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

A key component of this scheme is the Accreditation Body, which, being independent and representative of all interested parties, ensures users’\u00a0confidence<\/span>\u00a0in the\u00a0competence<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0impartiality<\/span>\u00a0of accredited laboratories through periodic technical audits.<\/span><\/p>

In Italy, this role is carried out by\u00a0<\/span>ACCREDIA<\/a>, which operates in accordance with ISO\/IEC 17011. ACCREDIA verifies and monitors laboratories’ compliance with UNI CEI EN ISO\/IEC 17025 and ACCREDIA requirements (RT-08) through technical audits over time.<\/span><\/p>

ACCREDIA’s membership in global and European accreditation networks ensures that its operations adhere to international standards and that its procedures are aligned with those of other accreditation bodies. It promotes the exchange of best practices and offers opportunities for benchmarking and continuous improvement. Specifically, ACCREDIA is a member of ILAC <\/a>(International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) i.e., the worldwide association of Accreditation Bodies of Inspection Bodies and Testing and Calibration Laboratories.<\/p>

ACCREDIA accreditation assures users of technical competence and the impartiality and reliability<\/strong> of analytical data.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The CROP PROTECTION TECHNOLOGY Laboratory has been accredited<\/a> by\u00a0<\/span>ACCREDIA <\/strong>for certain tests since 2010,<\/span>\u00a0in accordance with <\/span>UNI CEI EN ISO\/IEC 17025.<\/strong>\u00a0For this purpose the laboratory has signed an <\/span>agreement with ACCREDIA<\/strong> which can be consulted at the Laboratory upon written request.<\/span><\/p>

ACCREDIA accreditation of the test does not imply approval<\/b> of the product tested by the Laboratory or the accreditation body. Neither the Laboratory nor ACCREDIA are responsible for the test results or interpretations derived from them.\u00a0<\/p>

They do not assume responsibility<\/b> for any damages caused to the client or third parties due to the use of test results, nor for delays in delivering test results or interpretations.\u00a0<\/p>

Opinions and interpretations<\/b> are not within the scope of ACCREDIA accreditation.<\/p>

In general, the definition and implementation of the Quality System aim to:<\/p>

  • Ensure the impartiality and confidentiality of the activities carried out by the Laboratory;<\/span><\/li>
  • Align activities to comply with legislative requirements and the UNI CEI EN ISO\/IEC 17025: 2018 standard;<\/li>
  • Comply with the requirements of the ACCREDIA Accreditation Body;<\/li>
  • Enhance the quality of service provided to clients.<\/li><\/ul>

    The Management of the CROP PROTECTION TECHNOLOGY Laboratory has decided to establish and implement a Quality System based on national and international standards for the management and operation of its testing laboratory.<\/span><\/p>

    The Management of the Laboratory is committed to adhering to the UNI CEI EN ISO\/IEC 17025: 2018 standard, ensuring impartiality and confidentiality, and continuously improving the effectiveness of the management system. The CROP PROTECTION TECHNOLOGY Laboratory operates in a context that requires absolute traceability of the data generated due to the specificity of such data, which are closely tied to legal and regulatory aspects.<\/p>

    CROP PROTECTION TECHNOLOGY Laboratory, therefore, bases its approach to the Quality System on the following strategic elements:<\/p>

    • Clear and effective working documentation;<\/li>
    • Involvement of all dedicated resources in the implementation and continuous improvement of the system;<\/li>
    • Training at all levels to enhance knowledge related to laboratory activities continually;<\/li>
    • Targeted and ongoing verifications of the adequacy of resource competencies, the updating of utilized equipment, and the proper use of work tools;<\/li>
    • Integration with suppliers of products and services to extend quality methodologies upstream of the Laboratory’s activities (in compliance with public procurement regulations applicable to the Public Administration) and downstream through client satisfaction monitoring.<\/li><\/ul>

      In summary, the Laboratory Management is committed to:<\/p>

      • Ensuring operations in accordance with the principles of impartiality and confidentiality, as outlined in Chapter 4.1 of the Quality Manual;<\/li>
      • Guaranteeing customer satisfaction and that of other stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, by providing technically valid results;<\/li>
      • Providing, within the constraints allowed by the central administration of the University of Turin, the financial and human resources necessary to implement the Quality Policy;<\/li>
      • Monitoring the planning and control processes for activities required to achieve the assigned objectives;<\/li>
      • Allocating resources to achieve and maintain good professional practices and ensuring that personnel knowledge remains up to date with technological and regulatory developments, in a perspective of continuous improvement of the quality level of the generated output;<\/li>
      • Ensuring the integrity of the system is maintained when modifications to the system are implemented.<\/li><\/ul>

        These objectives are also subject to periodic review by the Management, scheduled, except for extraordinary events or specific needs, on two annual dates (approximately after the Accredia Audit and after the internal Audit).<\/p>
